Contents of the Course

Under organizational development, the procedures that increase organizational effectiveness will be outlined. This includes planned organizational change, which occurs over long periods of time, depending on personal and situational factors. In organizational change, quality management (QM) processes need to be understood and updated. Organizational learning is inherently a theme in organizational development, with focus on improving current systems present in the organization, and creating or changing the values and culture in the company to be aligned with updated organizational goals.

Students will learn how to combine these two concepts and use them in a practical setting via case studies. Students are to choose an organization in the industry they plan to work in in the future and analyse the current structure, QM procedures, and performance, and suggest improvements in management and organizational processes using knowledge acquired in this seminar.
