Kursübersicht "Business Study Skills"Instructor: Dr. Tamar Kbiladze,Tbilisi State University, Georgia ObjectivesThe course is designed to those students, who either have a business idea, or think, that during their carrier, they might start their own business. This course is highly interactive, and provides the students with an overview of basic business concepts. The key objective is, to equip the students with the essential knowledge, base considerations and experiences, which will help them to succeed in their business development efforts. ContentAn essential element of this introductory course is to assess a business opportunity and a business development process. Students will have an opportunity to analyze business cases, understand and assess business ideas and business situations. Course Outline
Teaching MethodsThe course, next to regular classroom presentations and discussions, includes situation games, case studies, team assignments. PrerequisitesFormal: Full-time student (B.A.) in the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences. Academic: Recommendation: Able to function in an English-speaking environment. AssessmentAufgrund der aktuellen Lage und den damit verbundenen gesundheitlichen Risiken besteht seitens der Hochschule auch kurzfristig die Möglichkeit, die Leistungserbringung (Prüfungsform) im SoSe 2020 zu ändern und damit den Gegebenheiten anzupassen. Grades will be based on a mid-term exam worth 30 points, classroom activities 30 points and a final exam (or written essay and/or presentation) worth 40 points, for a total of 100 points. Exams will be based on the material covered in class. The instructor reserves the right to make changes to this syllabus, as appropriate.
BewertungVoraussetzung für die Vergabe von ECTS-Punkten ist das Bestehen der Prüfungsleistung für das Modul. Diese wird durch Kumulation der Kurseinheitenprüfungen generiert. Die Teilleistungen für die einzelnen Kurseinheiten gehen zu je einem Viertel in die Modulnote ein. Kurseinheitenbezogene Bestehensgrenzen bestehen nicht.
